I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where did you get them?
I spotted mine on sale via Cettire and bought them that way!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book
How expensive are they?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how decked out they are.
Do they fit as expected?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
They haven’t golden goose sneakers stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
How comfy are they?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also go with everything.

How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
